2012 RCR Superlite SLC – Hurricane 442 (7.0L LS7) Powered | 1129 Miles | Street Legal
Offered for sale is an exceptionally rare and well-sorted 2012 Superlite Coupe (SLC), showing just 1129 miles on the odometer. This high-performance track and street machine is finished in a timeless Pure White gel coat exterior, enhanced with black and blue vinyl racing stripes. The black interior has been customized for taller drivers, including helmet clearance, ensuring comfort without compromising performance.
Built by respected SLC builder Allan Uzwiak, known for his meticulous and high-quality SLC builds, this car was approximately 90% complete at the time of my purchase three years ago. As an automotive engineer, I've since invested extensive time and expertise to complete and refine the build, transforming it into a truly turn-key track weapon and street-legal exotic.
Powertrain & Performance
At the heart of this SLC lies a Thomson Automotive Hurricane 442 – a stroked and built aluminum LS7 producing 740 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. This engine features the Harrop Hurricane ITB intake, delivering exceptional throttle response and a broad powerband, especially in the upper RPM range. Power is managed by a Holley Dominator ECU, offering comprehensive engine and transmission parameter control.
Mated to the engine is a Ricardo 6-speed manual transaxle – the same used in the Gen 2 Ford GT – delivering razor-sharp shifts and bulletproof reliability.
With a curb weight of just 2,400 lbs, this car boasts a staggering power-to-weight ratio, and the performance numbers are just as dramatic as the driving experience.
Mechanical & Chassis Highlights
QA1 double adjustable aluminum shocks paired with Eibach performance springs
Camaro SS Brembo brakes front and rear with Hawk pads and an electric e-brake
Forgestar performance wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo high-performance tires
275/35R18 front | 325/30R19 rear
Magnaflow mufflers for a powerful, exotic exhaust note
Race Logic traction control system for added confidence on the edge
Patterson Racing dry sump oil system for sustained track reliability
Lexan windshield and windows to reduce weight
Isis Power digital wiring/fuse/relay system
Interior & Electronics
Quick-release suede steering wheel
Short throw shifter
Koso digital multifunction gauge display
AFR display with O2 sensor
Working air conditioning system
Front and rear dash camera system with push-button control
Pyle in-dash reverse camera display
Build & Ownership Notes
Since taking ownership, I've performed a host of upgrades, improvements, and finishing work including:
Installed seats, harnesses, steering wheel, short shifter
Replaced rear hydro lift with longer Eibach springs for better suspension travel
Performed full front and rear suspension alignment and ride height setup
Installed new battery, spark plugs, all fluids (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid)
Added significant heat shielding in the engine bay
Completed Ford GT transaxle recall for half shaft bolts
Installed front & rear carbon fiber vents and wheel liners
Tuned engine for both street and track use
I have also taken the car to Waterford Hills Raceway in Michigan for a shakedown, completing multiple 15-minute sessions to dial in brake bias, engine tuning, tire pressures, and temperatures. Video and sensor data are available to verify performance and reliability.
Street Legal & Ready to Go
This SLC has been fully titled and registered for street use in Michigan, a significant feat for any kit or custom-built vehicle. After two years of careful tuning, refinement, and testing, this Superlite SLC is now a turn-key, road and track-ready machine.
